Classic modernism Greiner, after Otto Odysseus and the Sirens. Circa 1920. Oil on canvas. 48.5 x 101.5 cm. Framed. Repetition of the motif, which was first created as a colour lithograph (Vogel 62, II) and then executed as a large-format painting by Greiner with preparatory work from further, detailed study drawings (cf. Singer 25, 26, 33). This is now in the collection of the Museum der Bildenden Kunst Leipzig. - Overall somewhat yellowed, partially with small and barely noticeable colour flaking, occasional and selective retouches visible under UV. Overall in good condition. Oil on cardboard.
