Classicist chestnut pot with cotton wool scenes Above the flared round stand, open-worked body in the shape of a lattice. Fitted, domed lid, surrounded by a wrap-around band in relief, crowned by a finely modelled chestnut, half of which is still encased in the bowl. In the surrounding oval fields gallant couples in front of wide, partly impressive palace architecture. Polychrome painting with gold decoration. Designed by Michel Victor Acier and co-workers. Model no. F 44, partially dam. Hairline crack. Centreboard mark. H. 16,5 cm. An Empire style porcelain chestnut pot with watteau scenes modelled by. M. V. Acier and workshop. Partly chipped.
