In the centre a so-called "Korean lion" close to a flying heron, peony branches, grasses, ferns and a cockchafer. Flowering branches and butterflies on the banner. Polychrome painting in the Kakiemon style. Mould mark for Johann Gottfried Eckoldt Sen.; minimally dam.; sword mark. D. 23.5 cm. Provenance: Dissolution of an important German private collection - Part I. A small Kakiemon style porcelain bowl painted with decor "Korean lion". Former's mark for J. G. Eckoldt Senior. Minor chipped. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Circa 1735.
