Small unique figurine chandelier by the important German gold and silversmith Prof Herbert Zeitner (1900-1988)
Sterling silver, fully gilded. A round plinth with a slightly balustered and multi-jointed shaft rising in the centre, crowned by a cylindrical spout over a flared rim. In front of the shaft an abstract, sculptural and delicate depiction of an angel playing a violin. A delicately curved, stole-like band around the shoulder and the shaft. Marked "Zeitner Lüneburg" on the underside of the base. Marked 830, master's mark "HZ". Weight approx. 170 g. H. 15.7 cm.
