This print is part of an untitled series taken from a trip Kiyochika made to Shizuoka prefecture. He kept a notebook of watercolour drawings made along the Tokaido. This print shows a famous view of Mount Fuji from the main road through Shizuoka. Shizuoka was famous among travellers for its shops selling abekawa-mochi. Even today, these specialities are sold on the sly in the carriages of the train running along the Tokaido.
