Superb poster with a pair of skis and poles in the foreground and the Matterhorn in the background, lithographed by Reichhold & Lang. Georg Bilgeri (Bregenz 1873 - Patscherkofel near Innsbruck 1934) was an Austrian officer and mountaineer and one of the pioneers of alpine skiing. Bilgeri was responsible for numerous improvements to ski equipment in the 1910s and 1920s. Carl Kunst (Fürstenfeldbruck 1884 - 1912) was a German artist who designed numerous posters, advertising stamps and illustrated books. Very good condition.
