Edition decorated with 25 etchings by František Kupka, including 3 full-page etchings and 22 mid-page etchings, as well as 9 woodcuts in colour, some enhanced with gold, including one for the cover. Limited edition of 300 numbered copies, this being one of 190 on Arches wove paper with a single state of the plates (no. 199). Binding a little rubbed, covers uniformly foxed, very rare interior foxing and tiny transfers of some engravings. - ESCHYLE. Prometheus. Paris, Auguste Blaizot, 1924. In-4 (28,1 × 19,6 cm), paperback, illustrated and filled cover. Translated from the Greek by Lucien Dhuys, with an accompanying study of the Promethean trilogy. The edition is decorated with 18 etchings by František Kupka, 3 of which are full-page, and woodcut ornaments in black and ochre. Limited edition of 200 copies on Imperial Japanese paper, this being one of 150 containing a single state of the engravings in the text (no. 168). Cover browned.
