LACQUER CHEST OF DRAWERS, Louis XV, stamped P. GARNIER (Pierre Garnier, maitre 1742), Paris circa 1760. Lacquered on all sides in "goût chinois" with polychrome exotic birds in idealised landscape on black ground. The centrally bombé front with 2 sans traverse drawers, gilt bronze mounts and sabots and shaped "Brèche d'Alep" top. 99x53x86 cm. Provenance: Château de Vincy, West Switzerland. A fine and very elegant chest of drawers.
