* LADY'S DESK WITH FLORAL MARQUETRY, Louis XV, stamped BVRB (Bernard II Van Risenburgh, maitre 1735), the bronzes with "c couronné", Paris circa 1745/49.
Satinwood, amaranth and tulipwood in veneer and finely inlaid on all sides "en bois de bout" with flowers, leaves, rocaille and frieze. The hinged writing surface lined inside with red leather set over two extending supports, with fitted interior of 3 drawers under large compartment, with secret compartment. Exceptionally fine matte and polished gilt bronze mounts, applications and sabots. Freestanding. 79x43x(open 73)x90 cm.
