Folded fan, the skin-lined paper sheet painted in gouache of a youth leaving his belle, while his mother laments and a crusader in armour invites him to join his steed. Reverse in engraved skin enhanced with gouache of an interior scene in the taste of the 18th century. Mounted in white mother-of-pearl, engraved and gilded. Height 27 cm, leaf height 13.5 cm. * A fan, the double sheet in lithographed paper and enhanced with gouache of a gallant scene in the taste of the eighteenth century.
