A large Louis XVI gilt-bronze mounted and mahogany cylinder desk, stamped by Adam Weisweiler and Jean Wendelin Weber The elegant, resolutely architectural structure of our model, combining the finest mahogany grain with sober gilt-bronze ornamentation, is perfectly in keeping with the work of cabinet-maker Adam Weisweiler, one of the finest cabinet-makers active in the reign of Louis XVI. The presence of Jean Wendelin Weber's stamp suggests that he worked on our desk as a restorer.
