LARGE BYZANTINE BRONZE BELL
Ca. AD 500 - 600.
A cast bronze bell with a flaring conical body and an integrated suspension loop. Vertical fluting extends from the upper section beneath the loop, giving way to a smooth, tapering surface that forms the main body. The lower edge is delineated by a thickened rim, encircled by a row of evenly spaced rounded studs in relief.
