Ca. AD 1368 - 1644 A large ceramic Buddhist Lion stand. The lion is caparisoned, standing on a rectangular plinth, carrying a geometrical vase, was possibly a large temple lamp. Size: 910mm x 600mm; Weight: 28kg. Provenance: Property of London Ancient Art Gallery, acquired on the US art market; formerly in the Collection of E. Bourke, MD.,Yonkers, NY.
