LARGE COLLECTION OF LATE ROMAN ENAMELLED APPLIQUÉS AND BROOCHES Ca. AD 200 - 400. A collection of 30 bronze appliqués and brooches, including disc-shaped, lozenge, and drop-shaped forms, inlaid with polychrome enamel decoration in red, green, yellow, and blue. The appliqués are fitted with short central studs for attachment, while the brooches preserve elements of their original hinged pin mechanisms. For similar see: V. Size: 15-35mm x 15-25mm; Weight: 105g Provenance: Private UK collection; previously acquired on the Austrian art market in the 1990s.
