LARGE EGYPTIAN FAIENCE HEART SCARAB. Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A blue-green faience heart scarab with a domed back modelled in low relief, the clypeus raised and the pronotum set off from the elytra by a transverse groove, the elytra marked by three longitudinal channels. The base is flat with rounded ends and a series of small perforations around the perimeter for attachment.
