LARGE EGYPTIAN FAIENCE THOTH AMULET Late Period to Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 664 - 30 BC. A faience amulet of Thoth depicted striding with arms held at his sides, wearing a kilt and a tripartite wig, with the head of an ibis. The figure is rendered with a muscular torso, defined limbs, and a back pillar running from the head to the base. A suspension hole is pierced horizontally through the back.
