LARGE GLOBE ON STAND London, 1832, Manufactory Newton Son & Berry, inscribed Newton's New and Improved Terrestrial Globe. Mahogany and papier-mâché, covered with printed and colored paper. Brass meridian ring. Rotatable, mounted in an openwork mahogany frame on a twisted nodus and curved tripod on brass wheels, connected by a large compass with turned supports. Ø 67,5 cm, H total 116 cm. Stand H 82 cm. Few signs of use and losses, probably restored.
