LARGE INDUS VALLEY DECORATED BOWL. Ca. 2500 - 2000 BC. A large wheel-made terracotta bowl with a deep body rising from a small, flat base. The everted lip is highlighted with broad painted bands, the exterior otherwise undecorated. The interior features a continuous frieze below the rim with concentric roundels and stylised caprids in silhouette. The well is marked by three painted lines that converge at the centre. Size: 355mm x 220mm; Weight: 2.36kg Provenance: Private UK collection; From an old British collection formed in the 1980s.
