Venice, Aldo Manuzio, 1512. 2 parts in one volume in-4, brown calf embossed on wood, triple framing of cold fillets bordering a foliate scroll and the title, spine with three ornate nerves, one metal clasp on two (Period binding). Third Aldine edition of this collection of texts on Greek grammar. The first part of the volume contains the works of Lascaris and the Table of Cebes, while the second contains appendices on Greek dialects, together with an introduction to the Hebrew alphabet. The Greek text is accompanied by a Latin translation on the facing page. The Aldine mark is printed on the title and at the end of the first part, after the errata and colophon. Beautiful contemporary Venetian binding in cold-stamped calf, with the title of the work on the first cover (constantin. lasca. byz. de octo partib.).
