LATE NEOLITHIC HACILAR PAINTED TERRACOTTA VESSEL OR IDOL Ca. 5900 - 5600 BC. A terracotta vessel shaped as a stylised human figure, with a broad ovoid body forming the torso rising from a short ring foot. The neck is elongated and supports a rounded head surmounted by a flaring, crown-like element. The facial features include pierced eyes, a prominent nose, and an open, incised mouth. Short, raised arms are modelled at the sides, with the hands placed on the abdomen. Decorated in red slip with concentric circles, curved bands, and linear motifs applied across the torso, arms, and face, with radiating strokes encircling the crown. For similar see: S.
