LATE ROMAN BRONZE HARE AMULET
Ca. AD 250 - 350.
A bronze amulet cast in the form of a leaping hare, with elongated ears laid back and hind legs extended beneath the body. The surface is detailed with incised and punched motifs representing the texture of fur. A prominent circular eye is bordered by a radiating ridge. The underside is flat.
