LATE ROMAN MILLEFIORI GLASS BEADS NECKLACE WITH THREE PENDANTS.
Ca. AD 300 - 600 A necklace formed from a single strand of spherical glass beads in yellow, green and red, dividing below the midpoint into two strands linking the ends and centre of a transverse cast bronze bar. The lower section is strung with smaller yellow, green and red glass beads interspersed with gold-coloured glass spacers. Each of the three downward-projecting arms of the bronze bar is fitted with larger trichrome glass beads above a short string of gold-coloured glass beads and terminating in a bronze bell-shaped pendant.
