Work compiled from the best and most recent foreign and Italian works (Hill, Haweis, Hart, Lütgendorff, Wasielewsky etc.). Sassuolo, Tipografia Editrice Paolo Paoli, 1909. Description In-8° (approx. 22 x 15 cm). Fine contemporary editorial or amateur binding in burgundy half leather with tips; four-nerved spine with titles and floral friezes in gold within compartments. Plates in marbled or decorated paper. Notes on the work: Interesting and rare technical-historical treatise on violin-making, published at the beginning of the 20th century. The author, Giovanni Zampa, offers a reasoned synthesis of the most authoritative international sources of the time (including Hill's fundamental studies on Stradivarius and Lütgendorff's repertories), making them accessible to the Italian public. The text delves into both the historical evolution of the violin and the construction aspects and secrets of the great classical schools. Condition Exemplar in very good condition. Solid binding with neat gilding to the spine. Slight and physiological marginal browning to the inside pages due to the quality of the paper of the time, which does not affect legibility.
