In-8 (21,2 x 18,7 cm), mounted on tabs, bradel red chagrin, cover and spine preserved.
Edition decorated with 24 lithographs after plates by Vladimir Lebedev, made "for the propaganda windows of the Russian Telegraphic Agency (ROSTA)", one of which is pasted on the cover. Each plate is protected by a printed serpente.
These lithographs were originally created for posters commissioned by the Russian Telegraphic Agency (ROSTA), serving as a Communist propaganda tool but also illustrating social issues such as alcoholism. Working, like many Russian artists of the time, for ROSTA, Lebedev distinguished himself by his singular artistic approach, in particular his use of bright colours and geometric shapes.
Unnumbered edition of 1,700 copies.
Boards and spine rubbed, cover soiled with small tear, foxing on the serpents, some foxing and spotting on some lithographs, partial tear of the tab on plate VII, small stain in the margin and slight creases on plates IV and XII.
