It is accompanied by an atlas of 37 engravings on 29 plates, including 4 maps and 4 plans, engraved by Tardieu, Adam, Berlin, Collin, etc. Lechevalier (1752-1836), a learned traveller and secretary to Choiseul-Gouffier, the author of the Voyage pittoresque de la Grèce, was also the first curator of the Sainte-Geneviève library.
