A very attractive suite of 36 etchings remarkable for the elegance and expressiveness of the characters, the dramatic settings and the finesse of the engraving (Inventaire du Fonds Français, XVIIe, VIII, 201-236). The title is in IIIe état/V, with the border and the correction of Audran's address (aus). The edition with the address of Jeaurat - who had married the daughter of Sébastien Leclerc - is later. Pale spotting in the lower margin of 4 plates. Beautiful binding with very refined decoration (small stains on the boards).
