He lived in Vienna until 1938 and then emigrated to London. He was a member of the Hagenbund from 1905 to 1910 and a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus from 1914. Delitz went on study trips to Italy, Holland, France, Russia and Egypt. He mostly spent his summer stays at Grundlsee in Styria. He worked primarily as a portrait and landscape painter. Exhibitions of his works took place at home and abroad (including Albertina, Österreichische Galerie Belvedere, Collection of the Academy of Fine Arts).
