Woodcut on laid paper with watermark: crown with cross (see Haewood, 1167–1169, Nuremberg/Mainz/Augsburg, circa 1507/1510). 23.2 x 21 cm. Provenance: - Galerie Michel, Paris (acquired in 1974). - Schack Collection, Hamburg. - Private collection, Germany. Hollstein (Leonhard Beck) 12; The New Hollstein German (Leonhard Beck, part I, p. 21, no. 80). - Outstanding, deep black, clear and even early impression with the full framing line. The paper is slightly cocked and with scattered tiny foxing. On the reverse attached by the upper corners to a mat with mounting strips. The lower left corner with two tiny thin spots in the paper. Overall in very good condition.
