Family and guest book of the von Bethmann family at Fechenbach Castle on the Main. With approx. 80 entries, 5 pencil drawings, 2 pages of notes, 7 OPhotographs (6 CdV) and 2 visiting cards. Fechenbach Castle, 1852-1887. 39 pp., some with double inscriptions. (each approx. 22 x 28.5 cm). Landscape 4°. Central binding with three gilt edges. Gilt edges, gilt-stamped cover fillets and vegetal borders with DTitel "Album" (rubbed, bumped, one joint torn, cover slightly loose).
Fechenheim Castle, built in 1754/1755 in the east of today's municipality of Collenberg in the Lower Franconian district of Miltenberg, was acquired by the banker Carl Ludwig Caesar von Bethmann (1812-1871) in 1842 and remained in family ownership until 1941. - Contains entries mainly in German and French, often written in extensive, original rhymes by, among others: Alexander, Carl, Carola, Franz, Lucie, Marie, Moritz, Sephine and Sophie Bethmann, Tony de Blittersdorff (with drawing), Alfred G.G.
