Card cover (this with small losses) in 2-piece marble slipcase. Paper slipcase with gilt stamped monogram "A.P." and year 1812 (somewhat rubbed, upper edges of cover partly chipped). August Gottfried Pacht (*1785 Göttingen - after 1838) studied civil engineering in Göttingen and was later a school inspector, scientific teacher and knight. Teacher and knight. - Contains entries in German and occasionally in French from friends and pupils in Wolmar, including from: Magnus Johann von Drenteln (1774-1828), Henrietta von Drenteln (*1785) in Leipzig, Natalie Hartwiss in Kokenhof, Carl Nielitz in Lemsal, Ida and Selma Plato in Riga, Heinrich Conrad Poppenhusen (1773-1829, merchant), B. Weyrich in Stürzenhof, Joh. Carl Zimmermann in Pollenhof, in Wolmar by Amalie Blechschmidt, Clara Gessau, Joh. Friedr. Koch, Carl and Wilhelmine Koehler, Carl Nielitz. - The sheet of music by Gregor von Krüdener. - The engravings, mostly by Wiederhold in Göttingen, mainly with views (Der Hardenberg, Plesse, Göttingen, Weende, Halle, Loewenburg etc.) - margins slightly creased in places, one engraving with tear, otherwise generally well-preserved.
