Book often known by shorter titles such as "Pratica del Maneggio dei cavalli" Cesare Fiaschi's "Trattato del Mascalcio" by Lorenzo Rusio printed in Venice by Girolamo Cavalcalovo 1559 is linked to the treatise Printed in Venice at Domenico de' Nicolini 1561, it is a second edition dedicated to Henry II King of France. Book in 1/8 Folio non-coeval cover with leather spine with gold lettering. The volume has capilettera and many engravings depicting bridles, horseshoes and the exercises to be performed on them; interestingly, there are also some engravings relating to the 'Music and design of the riding school'. It is a treatise on the equestrian tradition in the Italian Renaissance, particularly in the Ferrara area. The treatise is missing its opening page.
