US NCO liner made from Firestone high pressure composite material. The canvas cap is complete but badly worn and its drawstring has been replaced by a shoelace. The leather chinstrap is complete but shows marked wear. The neck strap is present. The khaki exterior paint is ninety percent preserved. A white painted NCO bar is visible on the back of the liner and is over eighty percent preserved. According to the seller, this liner comes from Oubourcy. The village of Oubourcy, near Bastogne in Belgium, was the scene of tragic events during the Second World War, notably during the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944. Some wear and patina to be noted. condition II+. US noncommissioned officer liner made of highpressure composite material manufactured by Firestone.
