Lion Noir is a brand of shoe polish and cleaning products created in the 1890s and developed by the company "les Produits du Lion Noir" created on 16 March 1917. In 1900, J.Delage et F.George marketed the following products under the Lion Noir brand name: shoe polish, cream, polish and stove paste. The company was located at 100 Grand'Rue, Montrouge, and was sold to the BP oil group in 1989, disappearing in 1991.
