LODERECKER (Peter). Dictionarium septem diversarum linguarum, videlicet latine, italice, dalmatice, bohemice, polonice, germanice et ungarice. Prague, Nicolaus Straus [then Johann Othmar] at the author's expense, 1605. 6 parts (of 7) in an oblong in-8 volume, brown morocco, double gilt fillet, ornate spine, inner lace, gilt edges (J. Leighton, Brewer St.). First edition of this very rare dictionary in seven languages: Latin, Italian, Croatian, Czech, Polish, German and Hungarian, published by the Czech Benedictine Petar Loderecker based on Faust Vrančić's pentaglot dictionary (Dictionarium quinque nobilissimarum Europæ linguarum, Venice, 1595), revised and expanded with Czech and Polish and a general index in Latin.
The title is printed in an intaglio floral frame. It bears the manuscript bookplate of the Franciscan convent in Prague.
Missing the 5th part devoted to Polish (ff. Zz3 to Hhh3). Paper foxed, scattered stains and foxing, a few discreet marginal repairs.
