Officer's long flintlock pommel gun. Round barrel with thunderbolts, with trace of hallmark. Lock signed "PIRAUBE A ST GERMAIN" and hammer with flat body engraved with foliage. Bassinet with sides. Iron fittings. Chased and engraved trigger guard with counter plate engraved with trophy of arms. Long-eared cap with nail engraved with foliage. Carved varnished walnut stock. Wooden ramrod with iron pastille. Length: 51 cm. Fairly good condition. Circa 1725. Bertrand PIRAUBE, harquebusier in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines), near Paris in 1670-1725.
