This savonette watch was delivered on 24 July 1931 to the Zivy company, one of the manufacturer’s agents in Mexico. This watch bears the coat of arms of the House of Karađorđević, notably that of Alexander I, King of Yugoslavia from 1921 to 1934. It is highly likely that this watch was a personal commission by the King himself. An extract from the Longines archives and a copy of the correspondence relating to this watch are provided. Only one other example was sold, also in 1931; it is not specified whether this second watch bore the coat of arms of the House of Karađorđević. Condition: Sold as is, with signs of wear and use.
