Weight 52.1 g LONGINES WADSWORTH, POCKET WATCH WITH MONOGRAM JBA, USA 1928 The Wadsworth Watch Case Company was a company that manufactured cases for the American market. It was founded as HA Wadsworth & Co. in 1889. The first cases in the Wadsworth factory were completed in June 1890 under the name 'HA Wadsworth & Co.' Initial production was probably for 18-line cases, later in 1891 they put 16-line cases into production and other sizes in the following years. Within a few months, The Jewelers' Circular reported that 25 models were available. The factory specialised in the production of 'gold-filled' cases, advertising 'eye-catching designs', 'perfect workmanship' and 'superior quality'. Around 1902, the company expanded its product line to offer a solid 14K gold case. Wadsworth became one of the leading case manufacturers in the American country, even entering into agreements with Swiss maisons, in our case Longines, which supplied quality movements that were then cased in Wadsworth cases.
