Album of views of Chamonix and Mont Blanc, comprising 10 lithographed views in colour, including 2 on double page, the first 4 drawn by Loppé, the following lithographed by Margueron. The views include: Le Mont Blanc de St Martin, le Mont Blanc vu de la route de Chamounix, Passage de la Tête Noire, Village de Chamounix Chaîne du Mont Blanc, La Mer de Glace et le Montanvert (double page), La chaîne du Mont-Blanc vue de la Flégère (double page), Le Mauvais Pas (path from Chapeau to Montanvert), Halte au col du Géant (ascent by Mr de Saussure), Ascension du Mont Blanc par Mlle d'Angeville, Les Grands Mulets (ascent by Albert Smith). Very rare foxing (a little heavier in the margin of the first view). A fine copy.
