First edition of this charge against Louis-Philippe and first printing of the innumerable satirical illustrations by the author, a draughtsman and wood engraver who contributed to the Caricature, the Musée Philipon, the Journal pour rire and the Revue comique of 1848. The vignettes are scattered throughout the text, accentuating its lightness and bonhomie. A fine copy with no foxing.
