LOT COMPRISING BELT FITTINGS WITH SILVER AND BRASS INLAY - former Kofler-Truniger collection
Suisse romande / Eastern France, Merovingian, 7th century AD.
Metal with silver and brass inlay and round bronze appliqués. Decorated with intricately intertwined braided bands.
Three-piece belt set L total 16.7 cm, W 5 cm. Fitting piece 5.9 × 5.6 cm. Single belt loop L 10.7 cm.
Heavily corroded. Losses to the silver inlay.

- Collection of Ernst and Marthe Kofler-Truniger (1918–1999 & 1918–1999), Lucerne before 1964 (inv. nos. K8060L, K8061D & K8060M).
- Swiss private collection, Lucerne, acquired from the above in 1974.
- By inheritance in the same Swiss family collection, Lucerne.
