LOT COMPRISING TWO-PART AND FOUR-PART BELT SETS WITH SILVER INLAYS - former Kofler-Truniger collection Suisse romande / Eastern France, Merovingian, late 7th century AD. Metal with silver inlay and round bronze appliqués. Decorated with intricately intertwined braided bands. One set with remnants of a gold inlay. L 34.5 cm, W 10 cm and L 28.8 cm, W 7.3 cm. Heavily corroded. Silver inlay partially with losses. Bronze applications with losses and cracks. Provenance: - Collection of Ernst and Marthe Kofler-Truniger (1918–1999 & 1918–1999), Lucerne before 1964 (inv. no. K8060A & K8060D). - Swiss private collection, Lucerne, acquired from the above in ca. 1974. - By inheritance in the same Swiss family collection, Lucerne.
