Set of two snuffboxes: -Carved corozo, the first decorated with a lively scene around a fountain, with a man and a woman exchanging in front of a closed door and on the other side with a medieval scene, with a lady and her lover in front of a door with open shutters. The ends are decorated with portraits of men in the Antique style. 19th century Length 10.5 cm Dismantled and to be refixed -The second, in corozo, is decorated with a lively revolutionary scene, depicting the signature of a document. The reverse is decorated with a large fleur-de-lys finial. The ends are richly carved with flowers and fruit. 19th century Length 10 cm Lid detached, cracks, old restorations in the lid.
