Illustrated with 52 original etchings by Alexandre Lunois, including 11 hors texte, and 100 wood-engraved compositions in colour by Suzanne Lepère. Preface by Eugène Rofrigues. Edition of 146 copies, this one of 125 copies on Arches watermarked vellum. First cover detached.
AUCASSIN ET NICOLETTE. Chantefable from the thirteenth century transcribed by Louis Pierard and illustrated and calligraphed by Léon Cadenel. S.l., 1944. In-4, leaves, illustrated cover, publisher's folder and slipcase. The novel is illustrated with numerous compositions and culs-de-lampe by Léon Cadenel, coloured by the artist on each copy. Edition of 15 copies, this one of 10 copies on Arches vellum. Enriched with an autograph letter and a postcard signed by the artist, the latter addressed to Louis Pierard.

In-8, havana morocco, boards decorated with a framing of filets and cold irons, spine decorated in the same way, interior framing in the same morocco decorated with gilt filets, lining and endpapers in blue moire, gilt head, cover and spine (Gruel). Illustrated with 33 colour vignettes by François Courboin. Edition of 125 copies on vellum, this one enriched with a black suite on chine. From the library of P. R. Méry, with bookplate. Edition illustrated with 22 colour compositions by Louis Muller, including a frontispiece and 7 hors texte. Edition of 871 copies, this being the only copy N°1 on japon with an original drawing signed by the artist (20 x 16 cm). Reading creases on the spine.

In-4, plum morocco, first plate decorated with the author's name, the title in blue and orange morocco and a mosaic flower, inner frame in the same morocco decorated with mosaic ivy leaves and gilt fillets, red morocco lining, red moire endpapers, double endpapers, gilt edges, cover and spine, slipcase (A. Cuzin). Reunion of three suite states, including 2 with remarks in black, on japon impérial of 50 compositions by Auguste-François Gorguet, etched and signed in pencil by Louis Muller. The novel Sapho was published in 1897. Edition of 300 copies. Spine slightly oiled.

In-4, green morocco, boards decorated with a framing of gilt fillets, roulettes and irons, spine decorated with gilt irons with floral motifs, inner framing of the same morocco decorated with gilt fillets and irons at the corners, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine, slipcase (René Kieffer). Edition decorated with 27 compositions, including the cover, drawn and lithographed by Octave Denis Victor Guillonnet, gilt framing and lettering. This "picturesque and singular" short story appeared in Le Figaro on 30 October 1868 and was reprinted in the collection Lettres de mon moulin in 1869, here in a first separate edition. Edition of 275 copies, this one numbered D by hand on japon à la forme by M. Noffe, containing three states of the lithographs and an original drawing (25 x 16 cm). Copy enriched with a second original drawing (25 x 16 cm). From the library of E. Bruell, with bookplate. DIDEROT (Denis). Les Bijoux indiscrets. Paris, René Kieffer, 1923. In-4, red morocco, boards decorated with a gilt motif of 4 interlaced circles containing a floral decoration, gilt pine cones on the spine, interior framing in the same morocco decorated with a gilt roulette and two irons at the corners, gilt head, cover and spine, slipcase (René Kieffer). Illustrated with 25 coloured etchings by Sylvain Sauvage. Edition of 600 copies on vellum, this being one of 35 copies with three states of the etchings.

In-4, brown morocco, large gilt bookplate in centre, inner quintuple gilt fillet, plum moire lining, double endpapers, gilt edges, cover and spine, slipcase (Ch. Meunier 1927). Edition illustrated with 166 black compositions by Charles Fouqueray, including 28 hors texte, 112 vignettes and 26 letterines. Edition of 300 copies on Arches vellum, this one of 24 copies reserved for contributors printed for Hector Franchomme. From the Hector Franchomme library, with ex-libris stamped in gold in the middle of the first cover with the motto "Chanteclerc" surmounting a cockerel with outstretched wings. In-4, half water green morocco with corners, smooth spine decorated with a mosaic floral composition and gilt fillets, gilt head, untrimmed, cover (Champs Stroobants Sr). Illustrated with 66 colour compositions by Louis Morin. Edition of 100 copies on japon impérial with a suite on chine, this one of the 4 author's copies justified by hand. Enriched with two additional suites in black on japon. The cover has been trimmed and pasted on japon. Spine slightly faded.
DOUCET (Jérôme). La Grande douleur des sept artistes. Paris, Lucien Gougy, 1923. In-4, long-grained blue morocco, smooth spine decorated with gilt fillets and irons, lining in the same blue morocco, blue silk endpapers with embroidered decoration, gilt edges, cover and spine, slipcase (Max Fonsèque). Illustrated with a frontispiece, 7 full-page compositions, vignettes and Chinese-inspired frames in colour and gold by Paul de Pidoll. Edition at 658 copies, this one of 150 copies on Arches paper containing a suite of black illustrations bound in fine.
DUHAMEL (Georges). Les Hommes abandonnés. Paris, Marcel Seheur, 1927. In-4, black morocco, tan morocco lining with gilt fillet, brown moire endpapers, double endpapers, gilt edges, cover and spine, slipcase (G. Levitzky). Illustrated with a frontispiece and 24 black lithographs, including 8 hors texte, by Maurice de Vlaminck. Edition of 325 copies, this one of 300 copies on Arches vellum. A fine copy in a lined binding by Georges Levitzky. Hinges and spine slightly rubbed and rare foxing.

In-4, brown morocco, boards decorated with four gilt fillets, spine decorated with a mosaic design, interior framed in the same morocco decorated with gilt fillets, double endpapers, gilt head, cover and spine, slipcase (Period binding). This edition is illustrated with 18 colour compositions by Guy Arnoux, as well as numerous headbands, decorative motifs and decorative caps. Edition of 175 numbered copies on Arches vellum. Hinge rubbed.
FRANCE (Anatole). Les Travaux et les jours d'Hésiode. Paris, Édouard Pelletan, 1912. In-4, brown morocco, spine decorated with gilt fillets, gilt edges, cover and spine (Ed. Klein). Edition decorated with 114 original woodcuts by Paul-Émile Colin, printed in black in the text. Letters and decorative bands are wood-engraved in colour. Greek text and French translation opposite. Anatole France's book is a collection of extracts from various works, mainly La Vie littéraire and Le Jardin d'Épicure. It was the last book published by Édouard Pelletan. Edition of 375 copies, this one of 339 copies on Marais vellum. Bound in fine 4 additional pages of the book. From the Auguste-Pierre Garnier library, with bookplate. Hinges rubbed.
GAUTIER (Théophile). La Morte amoureuse. Paris, A. Romagnol, 1904. In-8, red morocco, gilt head, inner border decorated with a gilt garland, cover (Period binding). First separate edition of this short story from Une Larme du diable (1839), illustrated with 25 coloured etchings by Eugène Decisy after watercolours by Paul-Albert Laurens, including a cover vignette, a title vignette, 8 plates out of the text and 15 compositions in the text. Edition of 300 copies, this one of 200 in an in-8 jesus format on Arches vellum, with the definitive state of the plates before the letter. Slight marginal foxing.
GAUTIER (Théophile). Fortunio. S.l., La Tradition, 1947. In-4, grey jansenist morocco, interior framed in the same morocco decorated with gilt fillets, grey moire lining and endpapers, gilt head, cover and spine, slipcase (Trinckvel). Illustrated with 16 soft varnishes by Louis Berthommé Saint-André. Edition of 310 copies, this being one of the 17 first copies on Lana vert d'eau à la forme, each containing a suite with remarks of the illustrations and an original watercolour (15.5 x 20 cm) signed by the artist. Spotted moire endpapers.
HESSE (Raymond). L'Âge d'or. Paris, Les Éditions de la Roseraie, 1926. In-4, paperback. Illustrated with 11 colour lithographs by Marcel Vertès. Edition of 250 copies, this being one of 38 copies on hollande, signed by the author and the artist. Enriched with an original pencil drawing signed (18 x 18 cm), a suite in black bound in fine, a lithograph in colour refused and its print in black, a lithograph in black and the decomposition of the colours and an autograph signed letter from the artist to Georges Enault.
LECONTE DE LISLE. Les Érinnyes. Paris, A. Romagnol, 1908. In-8, orange half-maroquin with corners, smooth spine decorated with gilt irons, gilt head, cover and spine (Canape). Edition illustrated with 34 compositions by František Kupka, including 24 original etchings in black, 3 of which hors texte, and 10 original woodcuts in colour. Edition of 301 copies, this being one of 190 copies on Arches with a single state of the plates. Hinge and corners slightly rubbed.
RICHEPIN (Jean). La Chanson des Gueux. Paris, La Belle étoile, 1933. In-8, burgundy morocco, first cover decorated with a mosaic depicting a peasant, inner frame in the same morocco decorated with a garland of mosaic vine leaves and grapes, lining decorated with two original watercolours by Lehaye, red moire endpapers, double endpapers, gilt edges, cover and spine, slipcase (Lehaye). Edition illustrated with 22 compositions in colour, each accompanied by a bistre state, and 12 bandeaux enhanced with stencils by André Collot. Edition of 450 copies, this being one of the 25 Collaborateurs copies numbered in Roman numerals. Enriched with: - 3 original full-page drawings signed by André Collot, including two in pencil and a watercolour, - 4 original drawings in pencil signed by Lehaye, including three measuring 18x13 cm and one measuring 15x11 cm, the latter corresponding to the mosaic on the first plate, - an autograph note signed by the bookbinder certifying that he is the author of the original watercolours and preparatory drawings for the mosaic contained in the book, which date from 1940. Spine slightly oiled, hinges rubbed.

D. 1905). Edition illustrated with numerous in-text and 10 out-of-text compositions by Adrien Moreau. Edition at 110 copies, this being one of 75 copies on chine, not numbered, containing 4 states of the out-of-text etchings, 2 of which with remarks, and a suite on chine of the woodcuts in text.

Edition of 400 copies, this one of 304 copies on hollande pur chiffon. Slight discharges from the engravings.

First edition illustrated on each page with numerous colour compositions by Paul Avril reproduced using various techniques (black and colour etchings, gold and silver). Edition of 2200 copies, this one of 100 copies on large Japanese paper. A rare copy with the publisher's sleeve reserved for half of the ordinary copies and the large japanese papers. Jacket rubbed.

ZOLA (Émile). Nana. Paris, Javal et Bourdeaux, 1933. 2 volumes in-4, leaves, uncut, untrimmed, slipcases. Illustrated with 30 original colour engravings by Marcel Vertès. Edition of 60 copies on japon impérial containing one state in colour and one state in black of the illustrations. Enriched with a double suite of 30 etchings in black by William Ablett for a second illustration of the work. The suites are contained in a separate slipcase. The slipcases are a little worn.
