Extremely rare broadside, no other copies known, intended to record lottery tickets (or bollettini) sold to illustrate the operation of the Venetian public lottery of 500,000 ducats, divided into 250,000 tickets at 2 ducats each. The central image depicts the drawing ceremony: in the centre, a master of ceremonies oversees the opening of the urns containing numbered balls, while the surrounding vignettes illustrate the various phases of the draw. Numerous explanatory cartouches describe the function of the urns ('Ruota'), the registers ('Fogli'), the columns, and the procedure for awarding the top prize of 30,000 ducats.
