H. 22 x 17.3 cm The composition of this interior scene, structured by volumes, is reminiscent of Soutter's drawings of old Swiss towns. Unlike the latter, here he approaches the setting with an almost theatrical dimension. This influence could be explained by his interest in theatre, as evidenced by the numerous drawings inspired by his readings and developed in his notebooks and sketchbooks.
