Louis XVI secretary "à abbatant" with chinoiserie decoration in satinwood and mahogany, veneered, inlays of various precious woods and inlaid panels of lacquer. Straight, tall rectangular body flanked by narrow, angled corner pilaster strips on tapered square legs. Two doors and a hinged work surface with gold-embossed leather inlay in the articulated front. Staggered compartmentalisation behind. Narrow drawer above. Slightly protruding top panel, with low gallery framing all round. Wide framed veneer panels over the entire surface, bordered by thread inlays and framed panels with chinoiserie decoration on the front, some of which are crowned with loops. Key plates with engraved coat of arms of the von Tümpling family. H. 148 cm. 85 cm x 41.5 cm.
