Louis XVI mahogany wall mirror, veneered and wood, carved, painted and gilded. Straight, high rectangular mirror frame, moulded all round with beadwork frieze. Wide cornice with dentil and scalloped frieze and curved, rising, moulded pediment with festoon motifs. Corresponding lower finial. 104 cm x 46 cm.
Provenance: North German private collection. Purchased in 1987 from the art dealer Edmund J. Kratz.
