It is enriched with five autograph letters, including four from Pierre Louÿs and one from Paul Valéry: amusing letter to Willemetz signed Pausole (4 pp. in-4) ; letter to his brother Georges, with coded names (11 January 1897, 12 pp. in-8); letter from Paul Valéry congratulating Louÿs on the novel (4 pp. in-24 on cardboard) ; letter presumed to be to his wife, on the subject of his quadrisaide (19 October, 8 pp.) ; letter to his brother Georges: "Pausole has just appeared without my knowledge in German (...) I feel like murdering them". (6 October 1901 ?, 4 pp. in-4). Luxurious decorated binding, mosaic and lined. Ex-libris Laurent Meeûs and Charles Hayoit.
