Autograph manuscript on blue paper, heavily crossed out. One page is duplicated, with differences in the text. The story, published in 1903 in Sanguines, tells of a little girl who, to her great misfortune, sneaks into her father's library. Enclosed is an autograph letter from Heredia to Pierre Louÿs (1 p., 1902) congratulating him on this tale, which was read in a review. - Ex-libris Hayoit and Florini Duikingberg. Cat.
