[Sans lieu, circa 1940]; in-8 square of [4] ff, 25 pp, 25 plates, 1 f., contemporary binding in midnight blue half-chagrin with corners, spine ribbed, gilt head (Mallet). A unique book, entirely and skilfully calligraphed by hand in brown ink and illustrated with 25 original full-page watercolours, plus the one on the title page, and 25 decorated initials, all on white laid Ingres paper. The painter and poster artist Georges Grellet (1869-1959) was from Tours and published drawings and charges in La Caricature, Le Sourire, Ridendo and Le Journal pour tous, as well as colour etchings in L'Estampe moderne. He was also a book illustrator - Bookplate pasted on the first cover of Odette Bédigis.
